Preparing Nursing Students for Inter-Professional Collaborative Practice through Simulation-Based Inter-Professional Education: A Systematic Review

Background: Interprofessional Education (IPE) is an integrated education concept to improve collaboration capabilities initiated by WHO. practices are expected minimize medication errors, quality of care and patient safety.Purpose: analyze integrative research on the role simulation-based interprofessional in preparing nursing students practices. Methods: a systematic literature review search four databases indexed international journals, namely Science Direct, PubMed, ProQuest, EBSCO was conducted. Inclusion criteria used for include original research, publication time 2016-2020, English-written, accessible full text. Studies were included if they have keywords “knowledge” OR “perception” AND “interprofessional education” “nursing student”. Research articles critically appraised analyzed through table containing title, author, year, methodology, results, recommendations. Lastly, data synthesized narratively address study aims.Results: there 13 that met criteria. IPE can be implemented form simulations, elective courses, workshops with curriculum. The results showed improvement knowledge, attitudes, perceptions, skills, readiness, competency after implementation. Finally, implementation prepares excel practicesConclusion: should into higher health curriculum especially clinical practice professional training. Further investigation needed identify relationship conflict, conflict performance satisfaction amongst IPC staff.
